Will They Ever Give Up?

Well, now it’s Louisiana.  Just when you think that everyone should understand that creationism is dead in schools, another group of idiots makes a stupid move, and an even stupider statement.

“Why not take a stand for Jesus and risk litigation?”

I’m not going to go through all this over again.  FFRF has posted this on their website, so you can read it there.  It’s a whole bunch of stupidity in a little package.

At first I was rather irritated that they were looking so hard at the law, just to find a way that creationism could possibly be weaseled in.  I thought they were being overly cautious, and it may have been at first, and this may very well have been a different kind of post had the school board members kept their mouths shut.  The comments that were made afterward though are just insane.

You would think that people living in the bible belt would take more care with the words they let be heard in public.  You already have a stigma of being overly religious and under-intelligent.  Why open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Anyway, those comments take me well away from thinking the FFRF is a bit too zealous to prosecute laws that were probably not meant to do what they accuse them of doing.  It is now apparent that these people have no concern for the law, or the rights of others.  They only care about their own ideology.
